"A solo drone project by our friend Ilyse Krivel. Her album
Living Water exists in a space between field recording and composition. Recordings of various places of water - the Atlantic Ocean in Nova Scotia, a creek in northern Ontario, a sewer in Toronto- were filtered through electronic resonators, eliciting out the natural song of water. Instrumentation was added in support of the natural sound.
Living Water is an attempt at a positive interaction between nature and technology, one in which each element supports the other. It speaks to a hope for a way in which nature and human technology may merge in the name of beauty. it is a reminder that humans and technology were birthed from nature itself and that any idea of separation is what leads to destruction."
